Now that you have recorded your anchor you can submit the information to the Big Anchor Project database. Please visit the database pages of the website and register to enter the details of anchors you have found.

This could be a BRONZE record – your details, a location and some photographs of the anchor

Or why not a SILVER record by simply ticking the box to record the presence of diagnostic features  such as original stock, inscriptions and the number of arms

Or how about going for a GOLD record by measuring the main dimensions of the anchor using the guidance notes to help you.
